Each year the People's Choice Awards are given for the best fiction and nonfiction books by Virginia authors published in the past year, as decided by a vote of Virginia readers.

Between May 14 and July 6, 2007, readers voted on the finalists. The winners were announced at the 10th Annual Library of Virginia Literary Awards Celebration on October 20, 2007.
